HoChiMinh City, May 30, 2025) - Vietjet
Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VJC) held its annual general meeting for
2025, eyeing further development of domestic services and bigger investment in
its fleet for long-term growth.
Positive revenue, expanded
international network
It
was reported at the meeting that Vietjet in 2024 recorded its highest-ever
business performance, with an expanding international network that boosted
revenue.
In
2024, Vietjet safely operated 137,500 flights with 25.9 million passengers
onboard (excluding Vietjet Thailand), including over 9 million international
passengers which saw an 18% increase YoY.
Having
launched 20 new international and domestic routes, Vietjet’s flight network has
increased to 145 routes, including 101 international and 44 domestic ones.
Vietjet became the first airline to connect Vietnam with the five largest
cities in Australia and also the largest airlines in terms of the number of
routes between Vietnam and India, China, South Korea, and Japan.
According
to audited financial statements, Vietjet in 2024 reported parent company’s
revenue of VND71.734 trillion (approx. US$2.76 billion), with a pre-tax profit
of VND1.748 trillion (approx. US$67.2 million). Consolidated revenue reached
over VND72.045 trillion (approx. US$2.77 billion), with a pre-tax profit
exceeding VND1.823 trillion (approx. US$ 70.1 million).
As
of December 31, 2024, Vietjet's total assets reached nearly 99.3 trillion VND
(approx. US$3.82 billion), with a debt-to-equity ratio of 2.03 and a liquidity
ratio of 1.58, both of which are considered good in the aviation industry.
Cash
reserves and bank deposits, along with working capital limits, ensure that the
company meets its payment obligations as planned. Vietjet paid a total of more
than VND7.5 trillion (approx. US$288.3
million) of direct and indirect taxes and fees in 2024.
At
the beginning of 2025, Vietjet marked a significant milestone by launching its
first flight from Vietnam to the United States.
To
support its development plans for the coming decade, Vietjet has nailed a new
deal with Airbus to purchase 20 wide-body A330neo aircraft, increasing its
order for wide-body aircraft to 40.

ready to reach new horizons in the aviation industry while leaving its mark on
the global economic development map.

Proactively Investing in Sustainable Development
With a sustainable development plan, Vietjet continuously invests in ground
